How does StuffAlert protect me from spoof emails?

Protecting your identity is an important aspect of staying safe online. Emails that are designed to look as if they are from a company you know and trust asking for personal information, so called ‘spoof emails’, is the method used by some identity thieves.

To help StuffAlert users tell the difference between emails sent by us and spoof emails, StuffAlert addresses emails it sends to you using your registered first and last name together with your StuffAlert username / User ID. Please note: Since StuffAlert sends many different types of emails, not all will contain your name and User ID.If an email looks like it came from StuffAlert but doesn't include your name and User ID, it may still be legitimate, but we recommend using caution.
